A derailment on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in California caused a man to die, and passengers had to sit next to the body for 20 minutes before help came.
One of the cars on the iconic ride broke loose while filled with guests in 2003. Riders waited in a tunnel for paramedics to arrive while Marcelo Torres sat dead in one of the cars. Ten other passengers were hurt.

A monorail caught fire at an Epcot station in 1985, forcing people to kick out windows in order to escape.
Supposedly, two off-duty firefighters were on board who were able to help in a time of crisis, so while some people got hurt, no one died. This incident kicked Disney World into gear to install a fire detection system, which for some reason hadn't been in place prior to this situation.

A 660-pound parade float collapsed during a parade at Disneyland Tokyo in 2008.
A steel beam with planets all over it fell off a Buzz Lightyear float and caused all parades to be canceled for a while, but no one got hurt.

A Disneyland Paris employee was trapped under a boat when the It's A Small World ride turned on while he was cleaning it.
A helicopter came to take him to a hospital late one night in October 2010, where he later died.

Two people lost fingers on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Florida in 2014.
During two separate incidents, both a young boy and a man in his 40s broke the number one ride rule: They didn't keep their hands inside the car at all times. As a result, the boy lacerated four fingers, and the man severed the tops of two of his own.

Disneyland's PeopleMover ride was only open for a month before a teen died while trying to jump from car to car in 1967.
Ricky Yarma was dragged for "several hundred feet" before the ride was stopped.

A teen drowned after park hours while trying to swim from Tom Sawyer Island back to the main land.
Two brothers hid on the island until closing time one evening in 1973. They tried swimming back to the main park area, the older with the younger one on his back, but the older one went under. They found his body the next morning.

Pieces of an Epcot monorail supposedly flew off the tracks into a parking lot this past June, almost hitting guests.
A Twitter user posted a picture of a chunk of the monorail track that he said he was "thankful" to not get hit by. Disney stated in June that they were looking into the validity of the photo, but there hasn't been word on the incident since.
A man died at Disneyland while trying to sneak into the park after hours via the monorail track in 1966.
Thomas Cleveland scaled a wall onto the track as a way to gain access into the park. When spotted by security, he bolted, and his body was dragged about 40 feet down the track before he died.
People constantly try to dump the ashes of their loved ones on Disney property.
This has supposedly become so much of a problem over the years that employees have been trained on how to handle a guest when they think remains are being scattered on property.

A boy drowned after going down a water slide at Disney World's River Country Cove in 1982.
The 14-year-old was pulled out of the water when he didn't come up from his slide down. He was pronounced dead once he arrived at the hospital.

Two people have died on Disneyland's Matterhorn in California.
In 1964, a man stood up on the ride and hit his head, later resulting in his death, and in 1984, a woman fell out of her seat on the roller coaster and was hit by another car on the tracks.

A cast member was crushed to death between the walls of Disneyland's America Sings ride in 1974.
Debbie Stone was a hostess on the ride and stood on the rotating stage during the 24-minute America Sings experience. When the show ended, a rotating wall closed in on the stationary wall where she stood, and one of the worst tragedies in Disney park history struck.
